I made this poster to advertise a Meet The StuRa (Student Council) Event at the University of the Arts Bremen, where I am currently studying at. The goal of this event was to have a low-threshold offer for students to get to know more about university politics, which can be quite intimidating sometimes! With coupons for drinks, a cozy interview with one of the StuRa – representatives, an entertaining commercial intermission and an official Student Council meeting right afterwards the Student Council managed to recruit some new members.
Have you ever been a dog that is sniffing on another dog? Probably not. But we all know what it feels like to get into unknown territory, shyly getting closer to one another, asking questions and hoping the other person doesn’t bite. And once you get to know them, they seem to be actually quite nice. This is the image I had in mind when choosing two dogs as a key image for this poster. Getting to know each other, on a casual level and everybody feels a bit awkward while doing so but that’s okay. The color scheme and. organic lines are adapted from the design language of the University of the Arts Bremen Student Committee (“AStA der HfK Bremen” in German). The font that I used is the University of the Arts font, “HfK DIN Regular”.
